It has been weeks since I've left behind the rollercoaster ride known as highschool. Honestly to me it holds little weight.

As I was uploading pictures onto facebook, I took a look at the so called "friends" on my list. To me, these are the names I will be familar with for 3 months at most, then they will tarnish quicker than silver in air, until beyond recongition.

Recently I met up with some of my Jr. High buddies from Shanghai. We talked for a bit about the lives which we spent in schools. It was then that I realized that I missed that feeling of a family like atmosphere, the feeling of of a group rather than individualism. Gosh I hope I can get that here.

The American system is something that I disliked. It's a free-for-all jungle for the best marks, best reputation, and most popular. Obviously being in a especially vicious ecosystem such as my school, I fared pretty bad to this situation. It was not till the end of grade 10 that I realized the terrible truth, that I really am NOT the best around. In a way that's good, because it rang a bell in your head telling you to be humble.

Where am I going with this...
